Udyam Registration from Udyog Aadhar is ready

Aug 22: In an Email notification to all who had previously attempted to register to Udyam Registration using their existing Udyog Aadhar Number, the Ministry of MSME, Government of India has now upgraded the system to allow businesses to upgrade themselves and acquire the new Udyam Registration Number

Previously when any business with existing Udyog Aadhar Registration attempted to register, after providing their UAM Number and OTP a Thankyou Message was displayed as “Thanks for verifying your details. Please Revisit us after a few days to complete the process. Your details have been confirmed”.

The email communication sent to those who have attempted to register is

“You have shown interest in migrating your existing Udyog Aadhaar (UAM) to New Udyam as per the new definition of MSME. We have opened this option on our portal https://udyamregistration.gov.in

Please go to the portal and use the facility by clicking on “For those already having registration as EM-II or UAM” under the Heading “You can Migrate to Udyam (Re-Register) here”.

Businesses can now login to the website and complete the necessary details and acquire the Udyam Registration Number and download the Certificate.

The complete process is the result of MOUs signed by Department of MSME with Ministry of Finance for exchange of information about businesses
