This region most of the times been dominated by Russia after the World War 2 where USSR had its influence Unlike their counterparts i.e. the Western Europe which are developed countries. However with some of the countries joining the European Union favorable economies are expected. For India, these countries could be used as an entry point to reach the developed countries of western Europe with minimal or low investments compared to setting up businesses in the western countries.
