About Haiti

Haiti, Officially known as the Republic of Haiti is a country located in the Hispaniola Antilles (Sharing with the Dominican Republic) in the Caribbean Islands. The country was formerly part of the French Colonization but soon came out as independent after the French Revolution.

The country is predominantly a free-market economy and is considered one of the poorest countries of the world with a low human development index. The country has been dependent on foreign aid and support.
