About Egypt

Egypt, also known as Arab Republic of Egypt is a country linking northeast Africa with the Middle East. The country is one of the oldest civilizations of the world and is known for pharaohs and the great queen Cleopatra. Egypt is famous for their pyramids, the Great Sphinx, the Suez Canal and the Nile River. After the Egyptian Civilization ended with the romans capturing it, the country was subjected to various foreign influences due to wars which included the World War II. The country has also undergone various armed conflicts with its neighbour Israel.

Egypt is considered to be a regional power in the MENA region and is considered as one of the most diversified economies in the region. The country’s economy depends upon mainly agriculture, media, minerals, natural gas and tourism.

Country has good deposits of coal, oil, natural gas and hydroelectric power.
