About Uganda

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa with a diverse landscape. The country borders with Tanzania at Lake Victoria and has abundant wildlife. The country has been marked with various conflicts and military rule under the infamous Idi Amin.

The country’s economy is primarily based on agriculture and mining. Coffee, Maize, tobacco, tea, sugar, etc., are agriculture exports. The country has largely untapped reserves of both crude oil and natural gas. The service sector especially Tourism also plays an important role in the development of the country.

Uganda traditionally depends on Kenya for access to the Indian Ocean port of Mombasa.
