Rotary executes 2 worthwhile projects duirng installation ceremony

Jul 21: The 18th installation ceremony of Rotary Club of Jeevanbhima Nagar held online on Saturday 18th July 2020, was made memorable by two worthwhile projects implemented.

An ambulance was donated to the BMST – Rotary TTK Blood Bank, to be used to carry blood packets to hospitals without storage facility. The fund for the project was raised at the CSR Conference conducted by the club in February. The ribbon-cutting was done in a low-key ceremony, by the new President Rtn Subash Balabhadran. The outgoing President Rtn Prathima Meganath and the BMST official were in attendance.

The club also donated money to 3 martyr’s families during the installation ceremony. This annual project, conducted with the support of Wing Commander Afraz of the Honour Point, financially supports families of our braveheart soldiers who fell in the line of duty. This year the families of Ptr Krishnappa G., Lance Naik Gururaj S, and Naik Shivabasayya Kulkarni were honored.

The new President Rtn Subash and the Board of Directors were sworn in online by the District Governor-Elect, Rtn Fazal Mahmood. A resolution was made to help & support the weaker sections of the society through meaningful projects, during these difficult times. The club will be sponsoring the vocational training project for Adivasi women immediately through a project.
