Dow tanks after Trump hinted on imposing tariffs on China

May 01: The US Stockmarket today fell and opened lower after US President Donald Trump metninoned about possible new tariffs that may be imposed on China. With the trump and his team working on a long term plan to put sanctions and imposing tariffs to punish china for their mishandling of the COVID19 pandemic, the markets do not seem to be happy about it.

The Dow markets opened 1.6% lower which took a beating of 400 points, The S&P fell at 1.7% and the Nasdaq too fell by 1.9%.

US which is facing its worst crisis due to the pandemic has seen more than a million active coronavirus cases with over 60,000 deaths.

This adding to the current US-China Trade war, President Donald Trump seems to leave no stone untouched to place his attack on china. Some say this is all part of his strategy for the next US Elections.
