Nov 26: The 5th India-Venezuela Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) took place today. It was co-chaired by Shri P. Kumaran, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and by Ms. Tatiana Josefina Pugh Moreno, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in key areas including trade, health and pharmaceuticals, digital technology, agriculture, development partnership, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. They also reaffirmed their commitment towards enhancing collaboration in multilateral forums of mutual interest.
Both sides exchanged views on regional and international developments and agreed to coordinate closely in multilateral fora, advancing India – Venezuela partnership.
It was agreed to hold the next round of the FOC in Caracas at a mutually convenient date.
