Thalaivii reaches 1M followers on Koo

Sep 20: In just six months, Kangana has become the first female Bollywood actor to have one million followers on the social media platform
 
September 20, 2021: The National Award-winning actress and the Queen of Bollywood – Kangana Ranaut – has taken Koo, Indias microblogging platform, by storm. Since opening her account on Koo in February 2021, she has crossed 1 million followers.  
 
Fans congratulated Kangana on reaching the milestone and several Koos talked about the actors spectacular performances and commercial success. Kanganas official Koo account – @kanganaroffical – gained tremendous traction and  her followers almost doubled in the last three months, making her the only female celebrity to achieve this feat on the platform. 
 
Kangana has been posting enthusiastically about her upcoming trilingual film, Thalaivii – a biopic of the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalitha – in which she stars opposite Arvind Swamy. In an interview about the film, she mentioned that she was intimidated by the role and drew many parallels between herself and the late leader. In a recent post on Koo,  Kangana announced the film Thalaiviis  first song, Teri Aankhon Mein, along with the official poster. 
 
A Koo spokesperson said: We are elated that Kangana has reached one million followers on our platform. As an early supporter of the platform, she has been instrumental in helping Koo propagate the message of overcoming linguistic barriers to make genuine connections. Kangana Ranaut is the recipient of several awards, including four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. She is fondly known as the Queen of Bollywood and has directed Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi, in which she is the main protagonist.
