Somalia, officially known as the Federal Republic of Somalia is a county on the Horn of Africa. The country has the largest coast line in the whole of Africa.

Somalians have a very long history alongside Egypt and their history goes all the way back to 2500BC. The country was controlled by both Britain and Italy. Somalia is also ruthlessly known for Piracy.

The country’s economy has been predominantly Agriculture and Live Stock. the country also is well known for Hawala processing.

Somalia, being an LDC country, qualifies for India’s offer of unilateral Duty-Free Tariff Preferential (DFTP) market access for export of goods and services to India.
