Beneficiaries under Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission

Mar 17:The Government is implementing Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY – NRLM) across the country in a mission mode with the objective of organizing the rural poor women into Self Help Groups (SHGs), and continuously nurturing and supporting them till they attain an appreciable increase in incomes over a period of time and improve their quality of life and come out of abject poverty. As of February 2022, the Mission is being implemented in 6,789 blocks in 707 districts across all 28 States and 6 Union Territories (UTs). Cumulatively, 8.16 crore women have been mobilized into more than 74.98 lakh SHGs

The households covered into SHGs year-wise during the last three years and current year under DAY-NRLM is furnished below-

Of the total 8.16 crore rural women mobilized so far, 2.78 crore women (34%) have been mobilized in the last 3 years (2018-19 to 2020-21).
