Jun 10: Shri Shambhu S. Kumaran has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Philippines
The 1995 IFS officer is presently Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Morocco and will replace HE Jaideep Mazumdar who is taking charge as the Ambassador of India to Austria.
He has previously held diplomatic assignments abroad include postings in Frankfurt and Berlin, Germany, as Political Counsellor in Kathmandu, Nepal and as Deputy High Commissioner to South Africa
He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
