Ukraine plane crash in Iran; 167 passengers, 9 crew members killed

Dubai: A Boeing 737 belonging to Ukraine’s International Airlines has crashed at Iran’s Imam Khomeini Airport this morning. 176 passengers aboard the plane were also killed.

The flight had 167 passengers and 9 crew members. The plane crashed just minutes after takeoff from Iran’s Tehran airport. The plane crashes into the sky with a fire. The incident was attributed to technical difficulties in flight.

Ukraine’s Prime Minister Volodymyr Zelenskyy has condoled the tragedy. The tragedy follows the US assassination of Iraqi army chief Qasim Suleimani in Iraq.
